How do you Play Rolette? It’s simple. This random game of wheel spinning has truly entertained gamblers from all over the world. This casino game starts when a player picks out a winning number. Players of this game must pick a combination of numbers that are likely to appear on the wheel, after a spin. Players must only consider the different combinations of numbers that only range from 1 to 36.
In a game of Rolette, take note that there are typically two kinds of wheels used. These two wheels are: European and American. A European wheel has 37 slots (numbered from 0 to 36), while an American wheel has 38. An American wheel has an additional slot to accommodate the double zero (00).
In a game of Rolette, you will notice two betting areas: the inside and the outside. From the Rolette’s table layout, you will see the individual numbers from an inside betting area (usually arranged in 12 rows of 3 numbers, that form into 3 vertical columns). Zero (0) and Double Zero (00) are on top of these columns. The outside betting area on the other hand is where the boxed columns are. You will see that these are marked in colors red/black, and in odd/even. You’ll also see different groups of numbers.
To identify more with this game, here’s a list of Rolette betting combinations:
• Straight Up – bet on any single number
• Split Bet – a bet that you can place on the line that goes between any two numbers
• Trio Bet – bet on an intersecting point (between 0, 1, and 2, or 0, 2, and 3)
• Street Bet – bet at the end of any row that covers three numbers
• Corner Bet – bet on the corner where you’ll see four numbers that meet
• Line Bet – bet at the end of two streets, on the line between them; this covers all the numbers in either street, which totals to six
• Dozen Bet – bet in one of the marked boxes, labeled: 1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12, each covering 12 numbers
• Column Bet – look for the three marked boxes with ‘2 to 1’ on them. You’ll be able to mark all twelve numbers above it as soon as you place your chip in one of the boxes
• High or Low Bet – bet on one of the marked boxes ‘1 to 18’ or ’19 to 36’. These cover 18 numbers each.
• Red/Black or Even/Odd: on the sides of the board, there are four boxes. Place a bet in one of those boxes, which covers half of the board’s numbers.
• Four Number Bet – a bet that is at the corner of a 0 and 3 intersection. This covers numbers 0 to 3.
Remember, to Play Rolette is to know your limit of 30 spins per hour, one that has a high house edge (given that you’re playing at a full table). Place your bets only after the dealer spins the wheel. No more bets will be entertained as soon as the ball slows down.
