Your goal, when you want to Play Black Jack, is not just about getting a value of twenty-one (and by also not going over it). The objective of the game is to actually beat the dealer. On your designated casino table, you can only play with seven players at most. As each player bets his/her chips on the table in front of them, the dealer will then deal two cards to each player (this includes the dealer too). Witness one of the dealer’s card facing up, to get a clue on how powerful the dealer’s hand is. The cards of the players around you won’t matter as you are solely competing against the dealer’s cards.
A game of Real Live Black Jack usually starts with the player on the right (also referred to as 1st base), and then progresses to each player to the left. The higher hand in the game always wins, just as long as you don’t exceed the maximum value of 12. Exceeding over 21 means you’ll have to BUST.
To help you identify more of the games dealings (especially on your turn), here are the basic choices:
• Hit – a hit is when you take a card. You are allowed to hit as many times as you desire.
• Stand – a stand means to end your turn. The next player gets to play after you stand.
• Double Down – a double down is when you double your bet. You can take one more card and then end you turn.
• Split – if you happen to have two of the same card (i.e. two 6’s), you have the option of splitting them up and playing them for separate hands. You get to have an extra card for each. With this, you can either hit or stand on each card hand. You will also need to place another bet as you’re playing for two hands now.
Remember that a game goes on a touch-move basis. It’s final as soon as you play your hand; as you will not get another turn should you wish to undo a move. So hit as many times as you want before moving on. And as soon as each players turn ends, the dealer will then play his/her own hand. According to the rules of the game, the dealer reveals his/her cards. The dealer will then proceed to taking a few more cards until he/she gets a value of 17 or higher. It has been explained that if the dealer’s cards vary from what the players have, then the house edge would be really high, that it will result to no one playing.
To know more on how scoring is done in a Black Jack game, simply read the tips below:
• Face cards – these are your Kings, Queens and Jacks (which is worth ten)
• Ace – an ace can either be counted as 11 (if and when it triggers a bust), or count as 1
• Bust – this happens when you go over the value of 21. You automatically lose.
• Win – if you happen to have a higher value compared to what the dealer has
• Lose – you automatically lose if your cards are lower than the dealers
• Push or Tie – you and the dealer neither win nor lose if you both have the same total
This is a game set to beat the dealer. And if you still have a hard time understanding the game, try practicing first before going for the live version.
